Liebsies, or the Liebster award if you’re fancy.

So, a very kind blogger somehow stumbled across my blog and then that blogger somehow liked what they were reading on my blog. This one. The one you’re reading now. They liked it enough to nominate it for a Liebster award, which is basically blogger-speak for “I like your blog and you’re new here so I’m going to give you an award to encourage you.” Which is actually super nice. Thank you, My Knotted Life! You are too kind! The way it works is I answer 10 of her questions and then I pay forward the Liebster kindness by nominating 10…

A Day in the Life

I wanted to give a peek into a day in my life over here. Hope you guys are strapped in cause this is going to be EXCITING. You’re going to be like “How does she do it?? DIY Handpainted Basket

One thing I quickly discovered after adopting Finn is that dogs come with a lot of STUFF. And by “come with” I mean I buy a ton of things I don’t end up needing. If there is one thing I despise, it is a bunch of stuff without a place to put it. Hence, Finn’s DIY handpainted basket. Credit where credit is due- I got the idea from my favorite blog ever, Young House Love. It is such an easy, affordable way to give a somewhat boring storage solution some personality. To start, I headed to Homegoods to find a…

DIY Yarn Letters

This was a fun project that I worked on a while back to spruce up our bar area. I wanted a wall hanging that wasn’t another frame, and I wanted to introduce a new color to the dining room/bar area. I love the way these DIY yarn letters turned out, and it was super affordable! It was also one of those totally therapeutic projects- it is very repetitive and put me in the “zone,” which is one of my favorite places. To get started, I purchased my letters and yarn from Hobby Lobby. I went on my lunch break during…
